The 2009 NAC Insurance International Rally of Whangarei is the third round of the 2009 FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship as well as Round 3 of the FIA Pacific Cup and Round 3 of the Vantage Aluminium Joinery New Zealand Rally Championship.
It will take place from 5 - 7 June with the rally based in Whangarei which is approximately three hours drive north of Auckland. The Rally Headquarters and Media Centre are based at the Quayside Town Basin.
The media is an integral part of the event's success and are invited to apply for accreditation to ensure access to key locations on-event. Approval is given to bona fide members of the media who fulfil and abide by the accreditation requirements of participation and safety.
If you have not applied for accreditation with the International Rally of Whangarei before, you are also required to submit a copy of your publication showing previous rally articles, an electronic copy of your broadcast programme showing rally coverage, or five (5) examples of your photographic work demonstrating your experience in a rallying environment.
The completed application form needs to be returned by postal mail by 9am Wednesday 27 May (NB: 13th May for International Applications) to: MEDIA ACCREDITATION, RALLY WHANGAREI, PO BOX 62-021, MT WELLINGTON, AUCKLAND 1641, NEW ZEALAND. So please allow time for posting and the collation of the information needed to support this FIA-specified accreditation process.

Please note: TV and radio media applications also need FIA APRC secretariat approval. This process will be handled by the NAC Insurance International Rally of Whangarei media staff, but applicants must ensure their media accreditation form is submitted on time. If applications are late, no guarantees can be made regarding the timely approval of accreditation.
Team or sponsor PR representatives and photographers can be accredited, but may have specified restrictions subject to the event officials' requirements in terms of desk space, internet availability and access to press conferences and Rally Photographer Areas.
