Atkinson takes Proton to victory in Malaysia

The opening round of the 2011 FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC), 1 to 3 April, resulted in a historic achievement for the Proton team as their Australian driver Chris Atkinson and Belgium co-driver Stephane Prevot won their home event, the Malaysian Rally.

The International Rally of Whangarei returns to the highly-regarded gravel roads of the Whangarei and Kaipara districts with the dates of 15 to 17 July confirmed for the 2011 running of the intensely-competitive motor rally.

Fourth International Rally of Whangarei a great success

The fourth running of a full international rally in Whangarei has again resulted in a very successful motorsport event which attracted several thousand spectators and considerable media attention.

Rising Stars master treacherous Whangarei roads
